7 Days Journey of the Wildebeest Experience

7 Days Journey of the Wildebeest Experience

Overview

The Serengeti and the Great Migration are the primary focal points of this one-of-a-kind excursion, which takes place in Tanzania. At least four nights will be spent in the park, with two of those nights spent in the Central Area, which is where the park’s highest concentration of big cats may be found, and the other two nights spent in the Migration Area (depending on the season). We have designed this excursion such that you will finish your safari at the most distant place in the Serengeti, and then ride from there to your next destination.

Day 1: Arrival

You will be picked up from your hotel at 8:00 in the morning and taken on a game drive that lasts the entire day in the Great Rift Valley. The drive will be very spectacular. Despite its small size, this park boasts breathtaking views and is famous for its verdant acacia woodland, enormous fig trees, and mahogany trees, as well as a growing population of baboons and blue monkeys (205 square miles). The park is home to a variety of permanent residents, including giraffes, tigers, impalas, and a significant number of buffaloes. On the lake, there are also large numbers of hippos that can be viewed. Lake Manyara is surrounded by stunning landscapes, and game drives that take place around the lake provide excellent opportunities for taking photographs, including shots of giraffes and buffaloes in the foreground with the lake in the background. There are a few different tours that you can choose to go on, such as a boat excursion or a bicycle tour. In the late afternoon, we will return to the camp for dinner.

NOTE: If you choose to visit Tarangire National Park instead of this park, you can do so by adding an extra day to your itinerary. You also have the option of upgrading the quality of the accommodations you are staying in.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park
We will start the day by moving to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and then we will descend into the crater floor to enjoy an incredible morning of wildlife viewing in one of the most magnificent sites in the world. After an exciting afternoon of game viewing, you should climb the crater and then head back to your hotel. The Ngorongoro Crater is widely recognized as one of the world’s most impressive natural features. The crater has walls that are 2,000 feet high and encompasses 102 square miles, making it a true Noah’s ark that is home to practically all of the animal species that are native to East Africa. It is one of the very few spots on the entire planet where it is possible to observe a black rhinoceros in its native environment. The crater contains a park, many swamps, a soda lake that is home to a big population of flamingos, a dam, and wide grasslands. Moreover, the lake contains a large concentration of flamingos. In addition to this, it is famous for its elephants, which are the largest in the world and have tusks that are gigantic. The Ngorongoro Crater is regarded as one of the New Seven Wonders of Nature.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti.
The Serengeti National Park is accessible during the entirety of each day. We will make every effort to meet your requirements, and the schedule for today will be crafted according to the choices you make. On each day of the safari, your guide will go over the ideal times for you to get up and go on game drives, as well as the optimum times for you to wake up. You could, for instance, go on a game drive in the morning, then return to the camp for lunch and some relaxation time before going on another game drive in the afternoon, or you might go on a game drive for the entire day and bring a picnic lunch with you.
NOTE: You will have the opportunity to either increase or decrease the level of lodging that you have reserved for yourself.

Day 4: in Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park (Days 5–6)

(As a consequence of the Great Migration)
Over these two amazing days, you will search the immense plains of the Serengeti for signs of the Great Migration as your guide takes you to isolated regions around the park. Depending on the time of year, the regions you explore could be as far north as the Serengeti’s remote northern border with Kenya, as far south as the Ndutu District, or even as far west as the Serengeti’s western boundary. All of these locations are in Tanzania.

NOTE: You will have the opportunity to either increase or decrease the level of lodging that you have reserved for yourself.

On day 7, you will leave Serengeti National Park.

On this particular day, we strongly suggest that you get up very early in order to go on an early morning game drive (during a time of day when the animals are more active) and witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises you’ll ever witness. It is without a doubt one of the most incredible things that you are capable of doing. We will drive back to the camp for a delectable lunch before making our way to the airstrip to check in for your flight back to Arusha or to whichever fantastic location you have planned next (i.e. Zanzibar). You could also decide to stay at the campsite and get some rest rather than going on the early morning game drive. This would be an alternative option.
